Growing up, I lived in seven different towns in Iowa. (Dad got promoted a lot.) After graduating from the College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph, Minnesota, with a B.S. degree in Accounting, I embarked on a 15 year standard financial career, which included stints with Main Lafrentz (KPMG), Knight Ridder, Dayton Hudson Corporation, and Cowles Media. In 1990, I was ready for a change and decided to take a stab at consulting, which grew to become Certes Financial Pros.

Whenever my two daughters let me, I hang out with them. My husband, Jim, and I spend wonderful time together debating business issues, going for walks, traveling, and going to Starbucks. I also enjoy playing music, writing, spending time with friends, and working out with a personal trainer. I love visiting our Manhattan Beach house.
