I grew up in Fort Dodge, Iowa, and graduated from the University of Northern Iowa (a CPA factory) with a B.S. degree in Accounting. Karen Oman and I went to the same high school (St. Edmond's). Small world! I have worked in various financial and operational roles from auditing, external reporting, financial analysis, cost accounting, and operations to VP of manufacturing with Recovery Engineering (PUR), Graco, and KPMG. After 9 years of finance and 9 years in operations, I came to Certes for life balance and an opportunity to spend more time with people. I found working with people is what makes me happy.

Family time is high on my list....My husband, Kent, is also a CPA (we met at KPMG) and is a very good client! We have 2 children, a son at the University of St. Thomas and a daughter at Drake University. When we aren't running between their sporting events we are spending time at our cabin near Brainerd. I love coffee and chocolate and make sure I have each every day. I like to be busy which drives my family crazy at times - too much multitasking for them. I also enjoy pilates, weight lifting, biking, boating, down hill skiing, gardening, and volunteering.
